SUSPECT FOR THEFT CAUGHT BY BPATs

The Pampanga PPO concurrent with its mission and function of preventing crimes is unwavering in its goal to advocate community awareness and partnership in combating crimes. As such, many activities were lined-up in order to meet the goals and objectives of the Office and to fully function as mandated by Law. One of the movements in line with the OPLAN LAMBAT-SIBAT is the conduct of “Foot Patrol” of our personnel together with the BPATs.  As a result, members of BPATs of Brgy Babo Sacan successfully arrested one Jefferson Medina y Vargas allegedly involved in theft.

In a report reaching this office, arrested suspect who was identified as Jefferson Medina y Vargas, 22 years old, single, a resident of B38 L143 Palmayo Resettlement, Floridablanca, Pampanga. Investigation revealed that at about 2:00 AM of the same day,Romel Morales y Villanueva (victim),43 years old, married, a resident of Joven St., Brgy Babo Sacan, Porac, Pampanga while resting inside their house he heard sounds of footsteps from their living room and upon verification , he saw the suspect  carrying his cherry mobile touch screen cellular phone worth five thousands pesos as he is about to leave the house. This prompted the victim to shout for help but suspect manage to escape.  Fortunately BPATs of said Barangay who was conducting their foot patrol around the vicinity who chance to saw the suspect arrested and recovered from his actual possession and control the said cellular phone.

Arrested suspect together with the confiscated evidence were brought to Porac MPS for proper disposition. Appropriate charge is now being prepared against the suspect. The Provincial Director of Pampanga Police, PSSUPT RODOLFO SABATE RECOMONO JR, is pleased with the efforts of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams and elements of Porac MPS for their timely response and congratulates them for their active involvement in crime prevention within their AOR.
