Armed Encounter in Sta. Rita

            The Pampanga PPO under the leadership of PSSUPT OSCAR D ALBAYALDE, Acting Provincial Director successfully arrested two suspects believed to be involved in a series of robbery hold-up and gun-for-hire in the province of Bataan and Pampanga on September 9, 2013 by elements of Sta Rita MPS.

            In a report sent by PSI MICHAEL B MASANGKAY, COP, Sta Rita MPS, that at about 1:30 PM this day, elements of Sta. Rita MPS established an anti-criminality checkpoint along Barangay Becuran, of said municipality.  At about 2:40 PM they noticed Two (2) fast approaching single motorcycles and when they tried to flagged down them they accelerated in speed and elope prompting the checkpoint team to chase them while communicating through handheld radio of the incident to the next police officers on post approximately two (2) kilometers away.

            Police officers on post at San Vicente while receiving the call of the Becuran team noticed to the fast approaching single motorcycles and when tried to flagged down they just speed up and elope again. When the suspects reached the school zone at San Matias, Guagua where there are students crossing the road, the first motorcycle lost balance and slipped off. Driver of the second motorcycle told the fallen driver to abandon the slipped motorcycle and ride on to him. Again the suspects tried to elope but the chasing police officers were able to arrest them when they lost balance before reaching the hiway.

            Suspect were identified as JOHN LEE DE AUSEN Y LABRADOR, 30 Y/O, male residing at Apalit, Floridablanca, Pampanga, and  NOEL GARCIA Y BONDOC, 31 y/o, residing at San Pedro, Floridablanca, Pampanga. Recovered from the possession of Noel Garcia one (1) Remington .45 caliber pistol with serial number 285756 and one (1) m61 grenade from John Lee De Ausen and two (2) fired cartridge were recovered at Becuran.  Suspects and recovered evidences were brought to RCLO3 for paraffin test, ballistic and Explosive Identification.

            Furthermore, PSSUPT ALBAYALDE commends elements of Sta Rita MPS for their accomplishment and their relentless effort in eradicating armed individuals in the Province.
