"The Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPO) will continue to intensify its anti-criminality campaign in the province of Pampanga."

This was the assurance given by PSSUPT EDGARDO G TINIO, Provincial  Director, Pampanga PPO, who said that the campaign will be done by conducting police visibility patrols in all business areas and places of convergence within the province.

It will also maximize the use of the Civilian Volunteers Organizations (CVO), Barangay “Tanods” (Police) and other force multipliers for information gathering, he said.

In an earlier directive, PSSUPT TINIO has also directed the Twenty One (21) Chiefs of Police and Company Commander, Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC) to innovate solutions amid the occurrence of crime incidents in their respective areas of responsibility. They were further ordered to map out stricter security measures and triple their effort in trimming down crime incidents. Maximum deployment of personnel and logistical assets must be carried out to support any crime response and dragnet operations launched by the operating units.

As an initial result of this drive, major crimes were immediately solved recently, such as the series of robberies/ Akyat- Bahay, extortion, carnapping cases and gun-for-hire activities in Mexico, City of San Fernando and other parts of the province after a joint  dragnet operations and checkpoints were launched by the PPSC and Mexico MPS which led to the neutralization of the four (4) members of the notorious DEN-DEN Group on March 11, 2012 and the recovery of three (3) carnapped motorcycles, hand grenades and short firearms . Another successful dragnet operations launched by Sta Rita MPS and Provincial Special Reaction Unit (PSRU) of this PPO has put to an end to another Akyat- Bahay Group on March 29, 2012 along Brgy San Isidro, Sta Rita. Recovered from the suspects were Three (3) firearms, an M16 rifle,  shotgun and a cal .38 and items used by the group during their robbery operations.

Similar operations was also launched in the province after a hijacking of one (1) Isuzu dump truck owned by Mr. Joveth Cinco of Sta Monica, Lubao transpired yesterday along the stretch of Mc Arthur highway, Sto Domingo, Minalin perpetrated by suspects armed with several firearms. As a result, joint elements of Porac and Sta Rita MPS sighted the hijacked vehicle at early morning today at Brgy Manibaug, Porac. A brief encounter ensued after the suspected hijackers shot the approaching PNP elements which resulted in the killing of the Two (2) suspects and the recovery of Two (2) cal .38 revolvers and several ammunition.

Fully aware on the fundamental concerns of the public that the police should address, the Pampanga PPO has not let its guards down in suppressing crimes in the province through its reinvigorated anti- criminality campaign. ***
