Pampanga PNP on Full Alert, Police Rescue Teams on Standby and Ready for Deployment

Now that the typhoon season is coming, the Pampanga PPO has readied its preparations in anticipation of severe weather situation. PSSUPT OSCAR D ALBAYALDE, Acting Provincial Director announced earlier today that the Pampanga Police is in Full Alert. He instructed rescue teams to be on standby and be ready to face any disaster that may occur in the towns here in the province.

The Pampanga PPO under PD ALBAYALDE attended a conference hosted by Pampanga PDRRMC (Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council) earlier today at their operation center located at the former DFA Regional office, Jose Abad Santos Avenue. The conference focused on discussing ways to prevent and solve the problems faced by the 15 “high-risk” towns identified by PDRRMC.
During the conference, Hon. Gov. Lilia Pineda, who also attended the meeting, gave her insights regarding how to tackle any disaster that our province may face in this stormy season. Minalin tail dike was pointed out during the session. It was reported earlier today that the said dike nearly overflowed due to nonstop rainfall over the weekend.

For the past few days, the Pampanga PPO conducted several inspections to check if the rescue teams have complete equipment that is necessary during rescue operations when disaster strikes.

Moreover, Chiefs of Police from the different police stations in the province were advised to be on full alert in their respective areas of responsibility and also prepare preemptive actions for any disaster that may arise. As of now, troops are on patrol in the flood prone areas. Dikes are also being monitored in order to prevent them from overflowing or breaking.
