           The Pampanga Provincial Police Office under the leadership of PSSUPT OSCAR D ALBAYALDE, Acting Provincial Director, neutralized two from the seven suspects of a robbery hold-up group during an encounter that transpired in the New Public Market, Barangay Del Pilar, City of San Fernando, Pampanga earlier this morning.

            In a report sent by Chief of Police PSUPT RICARDO DAVID of San Fernando City Police Station, at about 4:45AM this morning, the victim Corazon Gumabon-Sason, 41, businesswoman, resident of Brgy San Juan, Sta Rita, Pampanga together with her driver Raymond De Jesus y Manapol, 37, of Purok 4, Brgy San Jose, CSFP and truck helper Jayson Libao y Gumabon, 23, of New Public Market, Brgy Del Pilar, CSFP onboard an Isuzu Elf truck were traversing A. Dayrit Street, New Public Market en route to Urdaneta, Pangasinan to buy fresh fruits and vegetables when the suspects blocked their path.

            Initial investigation disclosed that the suspects used an owner type jeep and two motorcycles all of which with no plate number when they declared their motive to the victims. Luckily, elements of San Fernando CPS were conducting a patrol in the area and noticed the commotion. Thereat, suspects opened fire at the patrolling police officers that resulted into a firefight between them which in turn led to the instantaneous death the two suspects while their cohorts sped-off towards McArthur Highway carting away Sason’s bag containing undetermined amount of cash intended for buying fruits and vegetables.

            SOCO team from Regional Crime Laboratory 3 who conducted scientific investigation at the crime scene were able to recover two (2) Cal.38 Revolver without Serial Numbers each containing four (4) live ammunition, twenty (20) fired cartridge of M-16 rifle and one red Euro 150 motorcycle for registration.
During the conduct of search, one of the slain suspects was identified as Ramil Bondoc y Jimenez of 22B, Brgy Sto Cristo, Mexico, Pampanga through Temporary Operator’s Permit (TOP) LTO dated November 4, 2013 recovered in his wallet.

            The cadavers of the suspects were brought to EV Punzalan Funeral Homes, City of San Fernando, Pampanga for autopsy.

            PD ALBAYALDE ordered the Chief of Police of San Fernando to conduct thorough investigations and follow-up the identity of the other slain suspect and the other five suspects at large.

            Further, PD ALBAYALDE immediately directed the Chiefs of Police of different municipalities to intensify their checkpoints and other police focused operations to prevent similar incidents from happening.
