City of San Fernando Quick Response to Foiled Robbery with Shooting Incident

The Pampanga PPO under the leadership of PSSUPT OSCAR D ALBAYALDE, Acting Provincial Director is looking into the foiled robbery with shooting incident that transpired earlier today, January 14, 2014, along Barangay Lara-Baliti road, City of San Fernando, Pampanga victimizing employees of Red Dragon Farm Feed Livestock and Foods, Inc.

In a report sent by Chief of Police, PSUPT RICARDO DAVID, that at about 1:30PM of said date, the victims onboard their Toyota Hi-Ace Van were in front of an ice plant in Lara, City of San Fernando when the suspects fired at them. The victims were identified as Gabriel Comboy, Ferdinand Mon and Mariel Soriano.

Comboy, being the driver of the van, sustained a gunshot wound during the incident and was immediately brought to Mt Carmel Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Initial investigation disclosed that the suspects were armed with unknown firearms using one single motorcycle and a blue car when they fired upon the victims but failed to rob them.

Furthermore, San Fernando CPS conducted a follow operation which resulted in the arrest of one of the suspects identified as Ivan Perez y Ferrer of JP Rizal Cembo, Makati City. Said suspect sustained a gunshot wound in his face during the operation and was brought to JBL Hospital for treatment.

PD ALBAYALDE directed COP San Fernando to conduct follow-up operations and thorough investigations of the incident to identify the other suspects. Further, he ordered all members of Pampanga PPO to be vigilant and maximize Police Presence in the streets to deter would be criminals.

In addition, PD ALBAYALDE lauds members of San Fernando for their quick response and apprehension of one of the suspects.
