Father and daughter found dead in Mega Dike


The Pampanga PPO under the leadership of PSSUPT MARLON V MADRID, Officer-In-Charge, is currently looking into the incident that transpired along the road shoulder of mega dike, Barangay Del Rosario, City of San Fernando, Pampanga earlier today, July 28, 2014.

In a report sent by PSUPT EDILBERTO PITALLANO, Chief of Police San Fernando CPS, initial investigation revealed that at about 3:32AM of same date, an unidentified male person onboard a certain Mitsubishi L300 Van, white in color with plate# TJQ-184 with markings on the side portion “AIR CONDITIONING AND VENTILATION” arrived at COMPAC 2 of Bacolor MPS and reportedly brought and turned-over a male child aged around 2-3 years old. The driver told the police officers that they allegedly found the child along the road shoulder of mega dike but did not mention any dead bodies near the said area. Without any further verification, said persons boarded their vehicle and left heading towards east direction.

At around 6:00AM, police officers from Bacolor MPS relayed an incident to San Fernando CPS because it is in their area of jurisdiction. After which, elements from San Fernando CPS conducted an ocular inspection near the reported area and found one (1) male and one (1) female cadaver lying on the ground. During the inspection, it was noted that the female cadaver has a stab wound on her chest while the male cadaver has a wound on his head. Further, it was believed that the victims have been abducted or killed somewhere and were later dumped at said place to divert investigation.

SOCO team from Regional Crime Laboratory 3 processed the scene and recovered the following items: one (1) brown leather coin purse, five (5) assorted keys, four (4) One Hundred Peso bills, one (1) Five Hundred Peso bill, one (1) Twenty Peso bill, and one (1) Five Peso coin.

Further investigation disclosed that around 12:00 noon today, Aileen Espirutu-Ibanez, 31 years old, and resident of Blk 184, Lot 20, Bulaon Resettlement Area, Barangay Bulaon, CSFP appeared to the office of San Fernando CPS and introduced herself as the immediate family of the victims. She identified them as PONCIANO ESPIRITU Y GARCIA, 70 years old, her father, and AGNES LIANGCO Y ESPIRITU, 37 years old, her sister. Both victims were residing at Sitio Marangle, Barangay Del Rosario, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

PSSUPT MADRID stated that investigation is still ongoing and several angles are being pursued as motives for the killing of the victims. The plate number of the said Mitsubishi L300 Van was submitted to LTO3 to determine the identity of its owner.

On the other hand, the child was turned over and presently under the custody of Brgy. Del Rosario Health Care Office.
