With the recent directive of the PSSUPT EDGARDO G TINIO, Provincial Director to intensify anti- illegal drug operations through the Provincial/ Municipal/ City Anti- Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Group (PAIDSOTG/ MAIDSOTG/ CAIDSOTG), various accomplishments on drug- supply reduction strategy were accomplished by this Office this month. On June 17, 2012, two (2) teams from the PAIDSOTG led by PSINSP JOVEN DE GUZMAN and PSINSP JOHN BERNARD TACDOY under the supervision of PSUPT MADZGANI MUKARAM, Chief, PIB conducted a buy-bust operation in a lodge/motel in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga occupied by Heriberto Bituin, which resulted in the arrest of the following suspected drug personalities while in the act of using prohibited drugs, later on confirmed as “shabu”. Suspects are as follows:

          1. Heriberto Bituin y Santos @ Eric, 42 years old, married, jobless and a resident of Brgy. San Juan Betis, Guagua, Pampanga;
          2.  PO1 Francis Sapnu y Aguilar, 37 years old, married and a PNP member;
          3. Alayja Mercado y Pineda, 20 years old, single and a resident of Purok 4, Brgy. San Isidro, CSFP;
          4. Sarah Montero y Ranias, 21 years old resident of Purtok 4 Brgy, San Isidro, CSFP;
          5. Rodel Paez y Abella, 45 years old,and resident of Brgy. Bangcal, Guagua, Pampanga; and,
          6. John Paul Tubil y Bituin, 24 years old jobless and resident of Brgy. San Agustin, Guagua, Pampanga.

          The said operation stemmed from a painstaking surveillance and monitoring of the PNP operatives targeting Heriberto Bituin who is under the drug watchlist of this Office and his cohorts.
          Confiscated from the arrested persons were the following: Nine (9) pieces medium size transparent sachet containing suspected white crystalline substance (shabu); One thousand pesos marked money; one (1) 9mm Beretta pistol issued to PO1 Sapnu; One (1) cal .32 replica; three (3) unit Nokia Cellphone and other drugs paraphernalia. Case was already filed against the suspects for violation of RA 9165    (Sections 5, 11 and 12).

In an interview, PSSUPT TINIO said that more police operations will be launched not only on illegal drugs but on other crimes as well that victimizes innocent Cabalens. Further, Pampanga PPO leadership will not tolerate the involvement of a Pampanga PPO member on this illegal activity as criminal and administrative charges were already filed against PO1 Sapnu. “These serves as a warning for other men in uniform to toe the line and not to indulge in any illegal activities”, PSSUPT TINIO also said. PAIDSOTG members was again commended for their successful anti- illegal- drug operations.***
