Commotion Between Guards and Farmers, Four Injured

The Pampanga PPO under the leadership of PSSUPT OSCAR D ALBAYALDE, Acting Provincial Director is currently looking into the shooting incident that transpired yesterday, January 12, 2014, at Sitio Balokbok, Barangay Hacienda Dolores, Porac, Pampanga which involved the shooting of two farmers, and injuring two other personalities.

Initial investigation disclosed that at about 5:30AM of said date, (LLL) Holdings Security Officer personally appeared at Porac MPS station and reported that a shooting incident transpired at the aforementioned place. Upon receipt of the report, elements from Porac MPS under the supervision of PSUPT JURITZ RARA, Chief of Police together with Pampanga SWAT and members of the AFP immediately proceeded to the place of the incident.

Further investigation stated that at around 4:00AM of the same date, a group of ANIBAN Farmers numbering more or less than 30 persons passed by LLL Holdings but were restricted by the duty guard not to enter. However, the said farmers refused to comply which prompted other LLL Holdings security personnel to step-in and join the fray.

Victims were identified as Noel Tumali y Escotto, 40, who sustained gunshot wound on his left pelvis while Arman Padinio y Lumibao, 33, sustained a gunshot wound on his left temporal, both ANIBAN members were brought to JBL Hospital. Also during the scuffle, Brgy Cpt. Antonio Tolentino of said barangay sustained slight injuries on his head which was allegedly inflicted by one of LLL Holdings security personnel while, SG Larry Sabado sustained hacked wound on the head and hand which was allegedly inflicted by ANIBAN members, both were taken Jose Songco Lapid District Hospital for treatment.

Furthermore, the joint follow-up operation which was conducted by elements of Porac MPS, SWAT Pampanga and members of the AFP resulted to the arrest of three (3) security guards namely: SG Fernando DeVera, SG Elorde Sagun and an unidentified personnel. One (1) ARMSCOR Shotgun with several ammunition was recovered from SG DeVera.

Several angles are being pursued as to determine the instigator of the commotion that turned up into a shooting incident. The Porac MPS are still conducting follow-up investigations regarding the case.
