PAMPANGA PPO SCORES ANEW ON ITS CAMPAIGN AGAINST
MOTORCYCLE RIDING SUSPECTS

Crime syndicates particularly Motorcycle Riding Suspects (MRS) has no place in this province as the police will continue to implement its Police Integrated Patrol System. Apart from the Police Motorcycle Riders roaming around the streets, PSSUPT EDGARDO G TINIO, Provincial Director earlier directed all Chiefs of Police (COPs) to let the community feel their presence through maximum deployment of all patrol vehicles especially during wee hours.

Early this morning, Sta Ana MPS personnel headed by PCINSP JOWEN DELA CRUZ, Chief of Police, while conducting mobile patrols chanced upon Two (2) armed men riding in tandem along Brgy San Agustin, Sta Ana after robbing a Burger Machine outlet in Brgy San Joaquin, also in Sta Ana. A brief encounter ensued when one of the suspects fired his gun towards the police car and as a result, one of the suspects sustained bullet wounds and was brought to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. The other suspect eluded the arrest and now the subject of manhunt operations. A cal .38 revolver and the motorcycle used were recovered in the process.

During the investigation, one PAULO SANTOS (not his real name), service crew of the said Burger Machine narrated that the Two (2) armed suspects, wearing black bonnets,  onboard a red Euro motorcycle, without plate number arrived at said outlet and immediately declared the hold- up. After gaining the amount of Php1,030 from the victim, suspects fled towards Brgy. San Agustin. Victim immediately sought the assistance of the police who were then conducting mobile patrol. The policemen immediately conducted hot pursuit operations and spotted the suspects along Brgy. San Agustin. One of the suspects suddenly fired his firearm towards the responding policemen, hitting the left frontal side portion of the patrol car. The other one loss control of the driven motorcycle and bumped on a concrete fence. A brief exchange of gunfire ensued which resulted in the fatal wounding of one of the suspect while the other suspect managed to escape towards a creek while firing his gun. Victim positively identified the slain suspect. Recovered were the following pieces of evidence: one (1) red Euro motorcycle, without plate number; one (1) cal. 38 revolver loaded with three (3) live ammos; one (1) holster; two (2) black bonnets; spent shells for 9mm and cal. 45; loot money amounting to Php1,030 in different denomination.

PSSUPT TINIO personally commended PCINSP DELA CRUZ and his men for a job well done. In an interview, PSSUPT TINIO also appeal to the public that aside from the continuous police operations, the public are encouraged to participate in the Pampanga PPO’s effort by being vigilant and alert at all times in their respective community.***
