PNP member died due to flashflood caused by typhoon Santi. 

          Upon the landfall of typhoon SANTI within the AOR of Pampanga, PO1 Cresencio Omawing Bueno Jr of legal age and a resident of Barangay Tampak, Aguilar, Pangasinan, a member of the Philippine National Police assigned at RPSB-3 rendering duty at 1st and Charlie Maneuver Company 2nd Platoon was drowned on a flash flood at Barangay Ayala, Magalang, Pampanga that caused his untimely death.

          In a report reaching the office of PSSUPT ALBAYALDE, Acting Provincial Director at about 1 o’clock to 2 o’clock in the morning of October 12, 2013, the victim together with his fellow policemen were in their barracks when they notice that their place was submerge with water and was becoming high which prompted them to proceed on a higher ground. While proceeding, a sudden burst of flash flood rushed and forced the aforementioned RPSB-3 personnel clasp on trees. But due to the strong flow of flood, the victim accidentally lost his grip at the tree trunk and was taken away by the flow/current and eventually drowned. Victim’s body was recovered and was rushed to Dr Andres Luciano District Hospital, San Pablo, Magalang, Pampanga but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician Dr Alaine Flores at about 6:24 AM same date. The victim remains were at brought at Angelina Funeral Parlor. Further, SOCO Team was requested to conduct necessary scientific investigation.

          Furthermore, PSSUPT ALBAYALDE expresses his deepest sympathy along with the member of Pampanga Police Provincial Office to the bereaved family of PO1 Bueno.
