Armed Robbery Incident at City of San Fernando

            The Pampanga PPO under the leadership of PSSUPT OSCAR D ALBAYALDE, Acting Provincial Director is presently investigating the shooting and robbery of a project engineer that transpired earlier today, September 12, 2013 at the gate of San Fernando Elementary School, Arellano Street, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

In a report sent by PSUPT RICARDO DAVID, COP, San Fernando CPS, that at about 11:00 AM this day, a concerned citizen appeared to San Fernando City Police Station and reported that a shooting incident occurred near the said elementary school. PSUPT DAVID immediately directed his personnel to proceed at the place of incident and secure the place.

The area was sealed for investigation and simultaneous flash alarm was sent to different police station to apprehend the four armed unidentified motorcycle riding suspects. Recovered from the crime scene were one (1) deformed slug and a spent shell of Caliber 9mm pistol found inside the vehicle of the victim.

Victim was identified as Pedro Navarro y Canlas, 43 years old, Project Engineer and a resident of Concepcion, Mexico, Pampanga. He was brought to Makabali Memorial Hospital right after the incident for treatment of his gunshot wounds. Victim was later transferred to San Fernandino Hospital located at Barangay Dolores of same town.

Initial investigation disclosed that before the incident happened, the victim came from Land Bank of the Philippines Dolores Branch and withdrew a total of P245,000.00. The victim arrived at the school around 10:28AM to deliver the said money to his Project Manager. He was assisted by security guard Daniel Franco y De Jesus when the four armed suspects on board two motorcycles approached them and declared hold-up at gunpoint.

In fear for his life, Navarro handed over the large amount of money and right after one of the suspects shot him which hit his right hand and left leg. The suspects then fled towards west direction going to Barangay Sto Nino of same town.

PSSUPT ALBAYALDE directed San Fernando PNP to conduct thorough investigation for the identification and apprehension of the suspects.
