TWO SUSPECTED MOTORCYCLE- RIDING ROBBERS KILLED
IN AN ENCOUNTER IN STA RITA

            Two suspected motorcycle-riding robbers were killed in an encounter with police in Sta Rita, Pampanga in the evening of August 28, 2012.

            In a report reaching the office of PSSUPT EDGARDO G TINIO, Provincial Director, Pampanga PPO, PSINSP MICHAEL MASANGKAY, COP, Sta Rita MPS narrated the encounter that transpired at around 10:30 PM August 28, 2012 at the vicinity of Brgy. San Matias, Sta. Rita, Pampanga. Sta Rita MPS together with the operatives of the Provincial Intel Branch (PIB) encountered two (2) still unidentified male suspects armed with two  (2) caliber .38 revolvers.

            The two (2) suspects were then on board a single motorcycle BLACK HONDA TMX 155 without plate number when spotted by the police. The two (2) were then signaled to stop but suddenly sped off towards Brgy. San Matias.

            The police immediately chased the fleeing suspects until the driver of the motorcycle lose control. Suddenly suspects were able to fire their firearms towards the police and an exchange of gunfire ensued. After the brief encounter, one (1) of the suspects sustained gunshot wounds and immediately brought to Diosdado Macapagal Memorial Hospital, San Matias, Guagua, Pampanga for treatment but was declared dead-on-arrival by the Attending Physician, Dr. Soriano M Suing. The other suspect managed to run but eventually died due to sustained gunshot. His body was later on found in a swamp area at said barangay.
Team from Regional Crime Laboratory Office  3 (RCLO3), Camp Olivas City of San Fernando, Pampanga led by PSI ERIC E GARCIAprocessed the  crime scene and were able to recover the following:

  1. One (1) Cal. 38 Smith and Wesson Revolver with Serial No. 052546 loaded with Three (3) misfired Cartridges and Two (2) Cartridges;
  2. One (1) Cal. 38 Smith and Wesson Revolver without Serial No. loaded with One (1) Cartridge, One (1) Fired Cartridge and Three (3) Misfired Cartridges;
  3. Five (5) Fired Cartridges of 9mm;
  4. Eight (8) Fired Cartridges of Cal. 45.

Cadaver of the fatalities were brought to STA. RITA MEMORIAL CHAPEL for autopsy.
