BPAT Enhancement Training in Apalit


The Pampanga PPO under the leadership of PSSUPT MARLON V MADRID, Officer-In-Charge, successfully launched another Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) Enhancement Training/Seminar earlier today at the Multipurpose Hall, Barangay San Juan, Apalit, Pampanga. This marks the seventeenth enhancement seminar conducted by this office.

The training/seminar was graced by Apalit Municipal Mayor Hon. Oscar D. Tetangco Jr. and Vice Mayor Hon. Peter C. Nucum. In behalf of PSSUPT MADRID, PSUPT HOMER PENECILLA, Deputy Provincial Director for Operations, gave a brief message to recognize the role of the BPATs and their importance as added force for the PNP in crimefighting.

Public Safety is a shared responsibility between the PNP and the community. The core concept of these workshops is to let the community/citizens to actively involve themselves in the PNP’s fight against criminality through BPATs. By conducting these trainings/seminars, the PNP helps improve the capabilities of our BPATs and as a result, a more effective and efficient community machinery policing and law enforcement.



Also present during the seminar are PSUPT SAMUEL SEVILLA (Chief of Police Apalit MPS), and Hon. Precy Ebona (SB Member Chairman of Peace and Order). Aside from officiating the said seminar, PSUPT ANNA LIZA GUZMAN (Overall Training Supervisor for BPATs) also served as a lecturer for the enhancement training. She gave the participants a course orientation in order to provide them ideas on what will transpire during the two day training/seminar.

PSSUPT MADRID stated that by empowerment through proper and continuous training, these BPATs will greatly aid the Pampanga PPO in preserving the peace and order situation here in our province. This office will also conduct another BPAT training/seminar next week, on September 1-2, 2014 at the City of San Fernando.
