PORAC MPS CONFICATED 1 KILO OF MARIJUANNA


In a bid to eradicate the proliferation of illegal drugs in the province of Pampanga, Porac Municipal Police Station under the leadership of PSUPT NEIL MIRO, Chief of Police scores anew on its anti- illegal drug campaign when one Joy Ampis of Olongapo City was caught in the act of possessing of a marijuana  brick during a PNP checkpoint on February 27, 2012.


In a report reaching the office of PSSUPT EDGARDO G TINIO, Provincial Director, Pampanga PPO, PSUPT MIRO stated that on At about 4:30PM February 27, 2012 elements of Porac MPS while conducting checkpoint operations along Porac- Dinalupihan National Road, vicinity of Brgy. Planas Porac Pampanga were able to flagged down a fast moving motorcycle driven by one Joy Ampis y Toring, 27 years old, male, single and a resident of Purok 13, Brgy. Barretto Olongapo City. Ampis was subjected for routine check and asked for his driver license, CR and OR of his MC. PO1 Ronan Dizon who was then near Ampis smelled a pungent odor coming from the latter’s bag. PO1 Dizon asked him on the content of his bag but the latter refused and sped off onboard his black 155 Honda MC with plate number PT 8879. A brief chased ensued until subject was cornered in front of BASA Airbase, Brgy. San Nicolas, Floridablanca, Pampanga. When subjected for search, elements of Porac MPS yielded from the subject’s possession was one (1) brick of suspected Marijuana fruiting tops weighing more or less one (1) kilogram with and estimated DDB value of Php 25,000.00 placed inside his bag.


A case was immediately filed before the Office of Provincial Prosecutor, CSFP docketed under IS number III-12-INQ-12B-00176-00177 and subject’s continuous detention was affirmed by Inquest Prosecutor Desiree S. Magno-Solomeo with no recommended bail for violation of Sec. 5 of RA 9165.


PSSUPT TINIO commended the COP and members Porac MPS for a job well done. Likewise, the local chief executives of said town lauded the said accomplishment.***
